"Playboy" is a song by Ängie produced by Harrison First. It is the last track from their second studio album, Follow The White Rabbit.

Background[]

Ängie and Harrison recorded and produced the song on June 2021, but differently than most of the tracks on the album, they didn't livestream the session or posted any snippets on social media. The first time Ängie mentioned the song for the fans was on June 14th, when she posted a photo on Instagram with a transcript of some of the lyrics.

On August 1st, Ängie posted a supposed tracklist for the album that included the titlte of the song. Weeks later, on August 19th, Ängie performed it live on World Pride 2021, along with other two songs from the album, "Cherry Psycho" and "Violent Love".

Theme[]

After spending most of the album talking about being obsessive and violent towards her lovers, Ängie finally founds a match that is just like her on the last track. "Play Boy" is a track in which Ängie talks about the things she wants her partner to do with her, because she knows he's into it, contrasting with the other songs on the album where Ängie is not sure if her love language is understood or reciprocated.

Lyrics[]

[Verse 1]
You're creeping on me like a shadow
Coming closer
All I know is that I want you more
Push me hard against the wall
Make me shiver, make me scared
Leave my skin all sore

[Pre-Chorus]
You don't have to say a word
Hands hotter than hell
Make me forget about the world
Release me from this spell

[Chorus]
Bruise me, choke me, mi amore
Taste me, hold me, like never before
Bruise mе, choke me, mi amore
Tastе me, hold me, like never before
Play boy, play boy

[Verse 2]
You shoot me down in cold blood
This is something I can't win
But I'll try for sure
Give me all you got and more
I'm a pyro for your fire
Fuck me on the floor

[Pre-Chorus]
You don't have to say a word
Hands hotter than hell
Make me forget about the world
Release me from this spell

[Chorus]
Bruise me, choke me, mi amore
Taste me, hold me, like never before
Bruise me, choke me, mi amore
Taste me, hold me, like never before

[Chorus]
Bruise me, choke me, mi amore
Taste me, hold me, like never before
Bruise me, choke me, mi amore
Taste me, hold me, like never before
