"Devil In The Details" is a song by Ängie produced by Harrison First. It is the fifth track from their second studio album, Follow The White Rabbit.
Background[]
In the begining of June 2021, Ängie and Harrison did a session live on Instagram where they where on the process of writing and recording a song on the spot.[1][2] At the time, they called it "Falling" because of its chorus, although Ängie said she didn't really like it because the chrous was cliché and uninspired.
A week later, on June 8th, they did a new live session where they were re-recording the song with a new chorus and slightly different production.[3][4] The next day, Harrison posted a tweet with a screenshot on his computer producing the song and revealed the new title "Devil's In The Details".[5]
Theme[]
The song is about opening up to love, after being closed for a long period of time. On the lyrics, she feels reluctant about letting her gard down, but her urge to be with this person is stronger than everything else.
