Background
Ängie and Harrison recorded the song on her apartment in a session for their second album, on April 11th, 2021, and made a livestream on Instagram showing the process. On April 16th, they did another livestream recording "Let It Run" and working on the production for "Cherry" again.[1] On April 19th, Harrison posted a snippet of the song on his Twitter saying he thinks the project was turning into a "rock album".[2]
