"Agnostic Dreams" is an unreleased song by Ängie. It is going to be on her full-length album with Tail Whip, Heartburn.

On August 11, 2019, Ängie posted a photo with the title of the song and a photo with some of the lyrics of it. She also changed the profile picture of her Instagram with the name "Agnostic Dreams". In October of that same year, she performed the song live on MaMA Festival 2019, but only a small snippet of the performance was posted on the web.

In April 2020, Ängie did a live-stream on her Instagram where she played a snippet of the song and confirmed that it was going to be on Heartburn.

In an interview for the french magazine Têtu, Ängie mentioned the song and said that she took almost two months to write the final lyrics to it: "I have a title in the Heartburn album which is very moving for me. It talks about the loss of a friend and it took me a while to find the right words."[1]

In a live-stream on Instagram, Ängie confirmed that the song is about her friend and agent Nicklas Högberg, who tragically died of an overdose in 2017.[2]

Ängie talked about how it felt losing someone so close and how it affected her in an interview for Freak Fanzine: "It was really a bang on the jaw when he died. I felt that I was not immortal and that it could die if I continued to live the lifestyle that I did. Even if I didn't die, someone else I loved could die. [...] Around that time I lived a very decadent lifestyle and it scared me when he died. It was the first time I lost someone so close to me. I don't want to go through it again. It's the most awful thing I've been through."[3]

You're my ghost in my dreams
Wish that you could stay
You're my golden memory
That never fades away

A dead rose on my skin
I'll show you someday
I'll keep you deep within
Until my last day

Agnostic dreams, agnostic dreams
Agnostic dreams
I see you when I sleep
Agnostic dreams, agnostic dreams
Agnostic dreams
I see you when I sleep

  • Ängie led people to believe that the Dust music video was for this song using a picture from the music video with the name of this song on her profile picture. The photos were deleted quickly after being posted.
  • This is Ängie's favorite song from Heartburn.
